Your Completed Pre-Work

When and what Pre-Work must I complete?

Review the Pre-Work packet for deadlines and specific requirements.

• Welcome Course. All students complete the new student welcome course. 
• Parent Pre-Work. All parents complete the new parent orientation course (Online via Canvas). Once completed, students will be able to join an advisors lab.
• Research 101. All new students attend and participate weekly, via zoom, for 10 weeks, the ASDRP Introduction to Research course. 
• Intellectual Property Training. All new students complete the IP training course. 
• Computational Resources Training. Certain advisors require this course. Review the Pre-Work packet and check with your advisor if you have any questions about whether or not you need to take this course.
• Laboratory Safety Training. If you plan on doing research in-person on campus (wet or dry lab), you must complete all three stages of Laboratory Safety Training. More information about safety training is found in the pre-work packet. 
• Research 201. After your first term at ASDRP, you will enroll and complete Research 201.
